Little Fish!

We went SWIMMING! In the middle of freezing, nasty, Michigan February, the Goldfish Swim School in Birmingham is a balmy, 80 degree heated pool baby and toddler swim school haven. And it was wonderful. And Bennett loved it.

With all the fun and excitement and such, he just couldn't manage to close his mouth.

And dad can make the same face

This is Google stock photo material. That is my unbiased opinion.

Lest you think Bennett is being raised by a single father, I requested a moment on the other side of the camera.

And also, I am on a shameless quest for blog comments. I happen to really like them. Kris says that if I had told more than 5 people about this blog, I may have more comments, but to that I say...whatev. So, you're reading this, now feel free click the little comments thing below and write something! And by "feel free," I mean "do it". Even if I don't actually know you. That's fine. :)

  1. PS- you are my number one referral source according to blogspot's stalkeresque statistics page. THANK YOU! ;)

  2. Oh phooey! The PS should have followed a REALLY long comment I wrote but clearly did not finish posting. ARGH!!!

    I was saying....

I LOVE your witty comments. I can just hear your voice as I read them. "Lest you think Bennett is being raised by a single father..."

And I LOVE Bennett's sweet face. You inspire me to get Emma to the pool. The poor child is deprived.

Also, I can tell family have looked at my blog, but do they post comments? No! What is this? We should post an ultimatum that we will cease to post photos unless we are given sufficient incentive with flattering comments.

And tell Kris that he looks IDENTICAL to Mickey, the boyfriend from Doctor Who (BBC sci-fi series) Season 1, Episode 1. Crazy!

    Love you!

  3. Wow, he really did keep his mouth open the whole entire time. And Kris's impression was dead-on. Of course, you are currently sitting right next to me, so you have heard all of this already, but... look! A comment! Post more! Maybe more videos.

  4. It's crazy to me that Bennett looks EXACTLY like Kris. I hope your genes prove themselves to be worth something the next go around ;-)

  8. I am so sad that my blog feed didn't tell me you updated!!!

Anyway, obviously these photos are stinking adorable. He is quite the water baby. You've inspired me to consider formal swimming lessons in an actual pool for my kid. Up until now he has only done oceans with one stint in a lake but that isn't swimming so much as it is mom holding onto baby for dear life while he tries to swim to Africa.

P.S. I love your son's shoulders, hair, and skull. I say that without the slightest bit of bias. :)

  9. Krissy sent me a link to this page! I felt compelled to divulge that detail, seeing that I haven't seen you since we wore matchy-matchy outfits in the Garden Atrium, which made this all very random and stalkeresque.

Anyway, just wanted to say helloo and also to counter "S"-- Bennett totally has your eyes, especially when he is smiling (which appears to be often.)Please refer to the last picture in your post, should you need a refresher on what you and/or your son looks like.
